Life Lessons

ree

I was going through my previous posts to just check my progress and the topics I have covered till now. I started this as a personal blog to share all that I had learned so far from my experiences. I came across one of the very first blogs that I had written -

Pearls of Wisdom (https://www.thebluebooklibrary.com/post/pearls-of-wisdom). And, it made me smile. And reflect on how far I have come from where I had started, and the lessons I have learned from them. This contemplation made me realize that we sometimes are unable to see our blessings or how far we have come unless someone voices them to us.

So here is an update on what more I have realized so far.

"Define success on your own terms."

We define our success. Success is counted at many levels. But most importantly, it is defined by our metrics. After a certain time, if you have made progress in your financial, physical, or emotional status then you are more successful than before. If you have moved ahead in your goals, then you are one step closer to your success. No one is ahead or behind. Everyone is running their own race.

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.” – Jim Rohn.

Hard work does pay off.

Focus on your path and you will get noticed. During my countless late/ sleepless nights in college and the office, I often wondered if it was worth it or if all the hard work was going to amount to something. After 8 years of such hard days, I can positively say, it does. Hard work does pay off. Moreover, it is crucial to add that sometimes more than hard work, smart work comes in handy. Find the right balance and be determined. It is a hallmark of hard work. No one can beat a person who never gives up.

Hard work pays off if you’re patient enough to see it through.” – Michael Chandler

This is not a boastful blog. It is just a reminder to my past self that was always anxious and worried, that things do work out for the best. It is also a cue to my future to look back at this whenever I am not able to find my inner peace.

Hope this blog gives others a piece of mind as well.

See you next time!
