There are so many pearls of wisdom that we learn too late. When we come to know about them, we wish someone else would have spelled it out for us, to warn us, to say it gonna be okay; to give us some head start for the future, like these.
1. Love yourself

Take care of your body, mind, and soul. These are one of the greatest assets that you will ever receive. Enjoy your life; things are going to be alright. The universe has your back.
2. Update your resume

Keep updating your skillset that matches the current economic situation. (This does not mean going to college again, obviously) . Learn a new software or a new language. You will feel more confident and you never know from where or in which form an opportunity might show up on your doorstep. It is also an added advantage if you keep polishing your communication skills as this is the single most important gem that you will never lose.
3. Follow the path you believe in.

Hear what others have to say/advise about life and career choices. It’s good to seek advice from others to make informed decisions but you don’t have to take those as concrete. There is nothing wrong with experiencing things and then deciding it for yourself. Things might end up different for you than others. Always follow your gut as they already know what you need.
4. Experiment.

Try different and new things that you are interested in. It is through these experiences that we learn and grow. These experiences in life will give you an idea about what you are truly passionate about and the kind of hardship you might be facing in the future.
5. Career choice.

In life, no matter what you are going to do (career-wise), always do your research because that's where you are going to give most of the time of your life. If you don't have any out of box idea or any other entrepreneurship idea, then focus on your studies because that will always be your backup plan. Your research should include your passions, the demand of your choice of career in the coming years, the right degree that you might need, and finally the financial aspects (the money that might be needed for your degree and the pay you are gonna take at the end of all your hard work).
6. Read, read, read a lot.

There is no end to knowledge. Make a habit of reading newspapers, novels, or magazines. The more you read, the better your vocabulary gets. It develops your mind, teaches new things such as current affairs, and you to get a deeper understanding of life in general.
7. Dream big.

Dream big and think out of the box. Break your dreams into steps to make them into a reality.
Dream with your eyes open and don’t go broadcasting about them to others. When you do so, you get a false sense of fulfillment and you might stop midway. So stay low and hustle.
8. It's okay to make mistakes.

Don't be afraid of making mistakes and having failures in life. No step taken is taken in the wrong direction. Mistakes are proof that you are trying. They have the power to turn you into something better than you were before. Forget the mistakes and remember the lesson. Use them as stepping stones and rise higher.
Have a wonderful day.
